We're hiring on behalf of a highly respected organization that tackles critical national challenges through advanced scientific, engineering, and management expertise. The Role
- Research, develop, and produce high-quality technical documentation, guidance materials, and reports related to aviation systems, policies, and operational concepts.
- Translate complex technical and operational information into clear, accurate, and accessible content for diverse audiences, including engineers and policy leaders.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and program staff to gather, interpret, and verify technical information.
- Draft, revise, and edit manuals, specifications, reports, and presentation materials, ensuring compliance with established documentation standards.
- Apply expertise in aviation terminology and operational procedures to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Manage multiple documentation projects concurrently, maintaining attention to detail and adhering to schedules.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field, with 5+ years of technical writing and editing experience; or a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience producing or editing aviation regulatory documentation or related technical publications in the aviation or aerospace sector.
- Demonstrated experience developing content for federal aviation programs.
- Proven ability to interpret and synthesize complex technical data and operational procedures into clear, concise documentation.
- Strong command of grammar, style, and technical writing conventions, with familiarity with government style guides.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant documentation or content management tools.
