Role: System Developer

Location: Wales (remote)

Role type: Temporary

Duration: 7 months

Hourly rate: £23,06 (£44,367 pro-rata)

Reporting to: Business Insight Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain business information systems and applications.
• Design and support the organisation's data warehouse and reporting platform.
• Develop and maintain Power BI datasets, data models, dashboards, and reports.
• Design secure data integration, import, export, and ETL solutions.
• Automate and streamline business processes to improve efficiency.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with GDPR and organisational policies.
• Support the development and maintenance of digital platforms and web-based services.
• Provide systems training, guidance, and technical support to end users.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions.

Essential Criteria

• Qualifications & Experience
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in systems development and implementation.
• Strong practical experience with: SQL, Power BI, SharePoint (or equivalent platforms)
• Data warehousing and data integration solutions

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of software development and information systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience working collaboratively across teams.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and GDPR requirements.
