Role: Oracle HCM Cloud – Oracle HCM Cloud – Fast Formula Lead
Location: Onshore Remote with 5% travel (Client location: Seattle, WA)
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Cloud – Fast Formula Lead to join a fast-paced HCM implementation and support team. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and troubleshooting Fast Formulas across Oracle HCM Cloud modules, along with strong leadership skills to guide a technical team through complex configuration and integration work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and testing of complex Fast Formulas across Oracle HCM Cloud modules including Payroll, Absence Management, Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Management.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and robust Fast Formula solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Fast Formula design, ensuring alignment with business rules and compliance requirements.
• Partner with functional consultants, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate formula logic.
• Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and support UAT for formula-driven configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Fast Formula execution, performance, and data accuracy.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers/consultants on Fast Formula best practices.
• Document formula logic, technical designs, and configuration decisions for knowledge transfer and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HCM Cloud releases, patches, and quarterly updates to assess impact on existing formulas.
• Support integration touchpoints where Fast Formulas interact with extracts, HDL, or third-party systems.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of overall Oracle HCM experience, with a strong focus on Fast Formula development (7+ years hands-on).
• Proven expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud modules such as Payroll, Absence Management, Compensation, Benefits, Core HR, or Talent Management.
• Strong understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud data model, security, and business rules configuration.
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring technical teams on formula design and delivery.
• Solid understanding of HCM Extracts, HDL, and related Oracle Cloud tools as they relate to Fast Formula usage.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 5% to Seattle, WA as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
• Oracle HCM Cloud certifications (Payroll, Compensation, or related modules).
• Prior experience in a lead or SME capacity on large-scale HCM Cloud implementations.
• Experience working in a remote/distributed delivery model with onshore client teams.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodology.
