Long-Term Contract

Remote but MUST be located  RI, MA, CT or NH

$85-100/hr

Oracle Database, AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Backup & Recovery, Replication, High Availability, Database Security, Performance, Cloud Cost Optimization.

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Cloud DBA to lead the administration and support of enterprise PeopleSoft environments hosted in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role will serve as the technical expert for Oracle databases, cloud infrastructure, performance optimization, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery.

 

What You''ll Do

  • Administer and support Oracle databases in production, development, test, and DR environments
  • Manage database upgrades, patching, migrations, performance tuning, and security
  • Lead backup, restore, and recovery processes using Oracle RMAN
  • Support high availability and disaster recovery environments using Data Guard
  • Manage and optimize OCI compute, storage, networking, security, and database services
  • Monitor cloud performance, capacity, reliability, and cost optimization
  • Troubleshoot complex PeopleSoft database and infrastructure issues
  • Support PeopleSoft Application Server, Web Server, Process Scheduler, and Integration Broker
  • Lead disaster recovery testing and ensure backup integrity

What We''re Looking For

  • 7+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience
  • Strong experience supporting PeopleSoft environments
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle Database 19c+, RMAN, Data Guard, and performance tuning
  • Experience with database backups, restores, replication, upgrades, and migrations
  • Strong Linux and shell scripting skills
  • Experience designing and supporting highly available, resilient cloud environments
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, security, storage, and identity management

Preferred:

Oracle OCP or OCI certifications and experience supporting PeopleSoft HCM, Financials, or Campus Solutions.
