Job description

Role: Multi-Skilled Security Engineer

Job Purpose: To install, maintain, service and repair a range of electronic security systems, ensuring all equipment operates reliably and meets customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service and maintain CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and door entry systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults across a range of security systems.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs.
  • Complete commissioning, system testing and handover documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional technical support.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety requirements and industry standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electronic security system installation and maintenance.
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with IP CCTV, networked systems and integrated security solutions.
  • Relevant industry qualifications, such as ECS/CSCS or manufacturer training.
  • Knowledge of NSI/SSAIB requirements and relevant British Standards.
