IT Portfolio / PMO Analyst with reporting experience

Long term Contract to hire role
We are seeking a motivated and data-driven Portfolio / PMO Analyst to join our clients IT Transformation Office team and support the coordination, management, and analysis of their global IT project portfolio.
In this role, you will work closely with project and program managers across the IT organization to support PMO best practices and governance processes, helping ensure effective communication across the organization. You'll also help drive consistency of practices and processes across regions.
Key Accountabilities:
Portfolio Analysis and Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize portfolio data from various sources to generate reports on portfolio status, performance metrics, and key indicators.
- Maintain standardized dashboards and reporting tools to provide timely insights to the PMO team.
- Identify trends and potential issues through data analysis and communicate them to the PMO team.
- Support analysis of portfolio data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Assist teams in maintaining and updating project data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on the IT Portfolio Dashboard.
- Help organize portfolio review meetings and presentations, providing clear updates on portfolio performance.
PMO Best Practices
- Support IT teams in understanding PMO methodologies, processes, and available resources.
- Identify areas for improvement within PMO processes and help implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Help maintain project management documentation and best practices.
- As a member of the Transformation Office, perform additional tasks as needed to support department goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years' total professional work experience, including at least 5 years dedicated to portfolio management/PMO analyst work
- Experience with data and analytics tools applied to project/portfolio reporting
- Experience supporting process improvement and standardization within a project management context
- Working understanding of portfolio financials
- Experience with Jira, especially developing and creating dashboards for stakeholders
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Ability to create clear, concise, visually appealing reports and presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders across time zones
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt
