SAP ID Retail

deal candidate should have strong hands-on functional experience with SAP IS-Retail / SAP Retail and S/4HANA Retail, along with a strong understanding of end-to-end retail business processes and integrations with surrounding retail platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and support SAP IS-Retail / SAP Retail solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders across Merchandising, Procurement, Inventory, Supply Chain, Store Operations, and Finance.
• Configure and support Article Master, including article types, categories, units of measure, variants, and retail-specific attributes.
• Configure and support Site Master for stores and distribution centers.
• Design and maintain Merchandise Category and Merchandise Hierarchy structures.
• Configure and support Assortment Management and Listing processes to determine which merchandise is available across stores/sites.
• Support retail Pricing and Promotion processes, including regular pricing, promotional pricing, markdowns, and condition techniques.
• Configure and support Purchasing and Procurement processes including vendors, purchase orders, goods receipts, and merchandise movements.
• Support Inventory Management across stores, distribution centers, and other fulfillment locations.
• Design and support Replenishment and Allocation processes to maintain appropriate inventory across the retail network.
• Support retail Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay integrations where applicable.
• Work with POS, eCommerce, Order Management, Warehouse Management, and other retail systems to ensure seamless integration with SAP.
• Support inbound/outbound interfaces using IDocs, APIs, EDI, and other SAP integration technologies.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA Retail implementation, migration, enhancement, and transformation initiatives.
• Perform requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, functional specifications, and testing.
• Prepare functional specifications for integrations, reports, enhancements, conversions, and workflows.
• Lead or support SIT, UAT, regression testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis across retail processes.
• Collaborate with SAP ABAP, BTP/Integration, Basis, Security, Data, and other technical teams.
• Develop process documentation, configuration documents, SOPs, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Follow ITIL and enterprise change-management processes for production releases and support.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Article Master
• Strong knowledge of Site Master / Store and Distribution Center structures
• Experience with Merchandise Hierarchy / Merchandise Categories
• Strong experience with Assortment Management and Listing
• Experience with Retail Pricing and Promotions
• Experience with Purchasing / Procurement
• Strong understanding of Inventory Management
• Experience with Replenishment and/or Allocation
• Understanding of retail Store, DC, POS, eCommerce and fulfillment processes
• Experience with IDocs, EDI, APIs, and retail system integrations
• Strong functional requirements, configuration, testing, and production-support experience
• Experience working directly with retail business stakeholders

Preferred Skills

• Large-scale specialty retail, grocery, hardlines, general merchandise, or omnichannel retail experience
• SAP S/4HANA Retail implementation or migration experience
• Integration experience with POS, eCommerce, OMS, WMS, EWM, BTP, and third-party retail platforms
• Understanding of Omnichannel Order Management and Fulfillment
• Experience with high-volume retail inventory and merchandise transactions
• SAP Fiori exposure
• Experience with SAP BTP / Integration Suite is a plus
• Strong understanding of retail master-data governance
