Systems Engineer Cloud & AWS with Security Clearance

Systems Engineer | SE2| Cloud && AWS Salary Range:$206-239K Location: Hanover, MD  Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI with MD polygraph Job Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer to work with a team of developers, QA, DevOps and other system engineers to support the Software Development Lifecycle. The Systems Engineer will contribute to building and managing  product installations for DoD customers. The role includes collaborating with development and QA teams on system testing, validation, and performance tuning in support of production readiness, and to ensure system compliance with security best practices and organizational standards.

Must Have:

• RDBMS experience (tuning, migration, optimization)
• Docker expertise, familiarity with Kubernetes a bonus
• Terraform, CloudFormation (CDK)
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies and platforms
• AWS Foundational Level Certification
• RDS and relational database experience in the cloud
• Knowledge of ICAM Capabilities and Integration
• Experience developing and maintaining detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with developers, testers, and product owners to align system behavior with business and technical requirements
• Must have strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines
• Experience implementing and maintaining system monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Soft Skills: excellent oral and written communication skills-Able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts Requires:
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with MD polygraph
• 10+ years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of 15 years.
