Application Developer (Java/Kotlin)

What will your day look like? As an Application Developer, you will:

• Design, develop, test, debug, and document applications based on technical specifications and business requirements.
• Build and enhance computer applications that support critical business functions and processes.
• Evaluate and analyze business requirements for new systems, enhancements, and ongoing system improvements.
• Create program designs that ensure systems operate efficiently, reliably, and integrate seamlessly with related applications.
• Develop code using appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Test and troubleshoot applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation to support development, maintenance, and knowledge sharing.
• Support, update, and maintain existing applications in response to business needs, production issues, and enhancement requests.
• Collaborate with analysts, project teams, stakeholders, and end users to define requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Estimate, track, and report effort required to complete assigned work for project planning and budgeting purposes.
• Provide excellent customer service while partnering with business users to resolve issues and deploy new functionality.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and recommend technology solutions that align with business objectives.

You will be a good fit for the Application Developer role if you have:

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting business applications
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and application lifecycle management
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development frameworks
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving application and system issues
• Understanding of application design principles, system integration, and software architecture concepts
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional project teams

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience designing system architectures and enterprise application solutions
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern application development practices
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools
• Experience with database design, data integration, and reporting solutions
• Background supporting large-scale enterprise applications
