SAP BODS Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP BODS Administrator to support and maintain enterprise SAP Data Services (BODS) environments for a large utility client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering SAP BODS platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability across development, testing, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) environments.
• Manage BODS repositories, job servers, access servers, and application servers.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability while proactively resolving issues.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, migrations, and environment refresh activities.
• Configure and troubleshoot data integration jobs, scheduling, and batch processing.
• Support deployment and promotion of BODS objects across multiple environments.
• Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
• Work closely with ETL developers, database administrators, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and administration guides.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and change management processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (SAP BODS).
• Strong knowledge of BODS architecture, repositories, job servers, and server management.
• Experience with SAP BODS installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and enterprise data integration.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or SAP HANA.
• Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server administration.
• Experience with job scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and system security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale SAP environments.
• Knowledge of SAP BW, SAP HANA, or SAP BusinessObjects platforms.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and hybrid environments.
• Utility industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Shell, or Python) is preferred.
