Job Description
The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business. This is a newly created role offering the chance to take ownership of the finance function, working closely with senior leadership to provide financial rigour, commercial insight, and strategic support.This is a hands-on position where you'll be responsible for everything from producing management accounts and cashflow reporting through to profitability analysis, forecasting, and business partnering. You'll play a key role in helping the business make better decisions and drive future growth.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Management Information
- Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reports and cashflow statements.
- Produce monthly management information packs and financial performance analysis.
- Deliver variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
- Develop financial dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Maintain and reconcile accounting systems and ERP integrations.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation across sales channels and operational systems.
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Drive improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting.
- Analyse profitability by customer, channel and product category
- Support pricing decisions, commercial negotiations and growth initiatives.
- Build and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models.
- Evaluate new business opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage VAT reporting and compliance requirements.
- Lead year-end preparation and support external accountants and auditors.
- Support and develop a small finance team member, overseeing credit control activities
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Proven experience working with accounting and ERP systems.
- Confident producing management accounts and MI packs from first principles.
- Commercially minded with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Newly created role with genuine influence across the business.
